His practice is located in Nice and is exclusively private.
He currently teaches Phlebology at the University Diploma of Paris University Pierre et Marie Curie, and at several academic courses in France and abroad. He is Visiting Professor of the Universidad Catolica Argentina in Buenos Aires.
Author and coauthor of several books,
he has published about 30 medline-indexed articles about various phlebological topics, including sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy, post-thrombotic syndrome, and Patient Reported Outcomes;
and close to 100 other articles in Phlébology.

He was recently the chairman of the organizing committee of UIP50, the XVI° World Meeting of the UIP in Monaco.
Dr Jean-Jérôme Guex has been designated one of the 25 most influential Phlebologists in the world by VEIN Magazine (USA).
He has served as president of the French Society of Phlebology and is currently member of the board of Directors of the American College of Phlebology (of which he is also Fellow and honorary member), treasurer of the International Union of Phlebology, and deputy treasurer of the European Venous Forum.
He is Emeritus Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology and corresponding member of Swiss and German Phlebology Societies.
Dr Guex is fluent in English and Spanish.
His hobbies are fine cooking (awarded), scuba diving, reading mystery novels and listening jazz. He is married and has 2 grown up children.
